Cranberry Chic

Estas ilustraciones fueron especialmente desarrolladas para el blog chileno de moda y tendencias Cranberry Chic. Las ilustraciones debían ser en blanco y negro con pequeños detalles en color, resaltando siempre el tono "cranberry".

These illustrations where specially developed for the Chilean blog of fashion and trends, Cranberry Chic. Illustrations had to be in black and white with some small details in color, highlighting the "cranberry" color.

Esta es la primera versión de la ilustración de más arriba. No fue seleccionada pero la comparto porque me gusta mucho.

This is the first version of the upper illustration. It wasn't selected, but I share it with you cause I really like it.

¡¡¡Hola!!! Hace mucho tiempo que no publico nada por acá... la verdad es que he estado muy ocupada. Tampoco he tenido tiempo para pintar, pero espero poder ponerme al día durante las vacaciones de Navidad.
Esta ilustración es un retrato de Nastya Kusakina, inspirada en una fotografía de la última colección de Oscar de La Renta Primavera/Verano 2013. Me encantó el look de Nastya para este desfile, especialmente su peinado. Las mechas celestes, el giro del pelo... ¡es como un hermoso cupcake!


Hello there! It's been long since I write anything here... the truth is I've been really busy. I've neither have had time to paint, but I hope I will be able to catch up during Christmas holidays.
This illustration is a portrait of Nastya Kusakina, inspired on a picture of Oscar de La Renta's SS13 collection. I totally loved Nastya's look for this runway, specially her hairstyle. Light blue hairs, the twist of the hair... it's like a beautiful cupcake!

Kiss the wrong side (The Challenger Maillot)

Hace tiempo que tenía ganas de seguir con mi serie de ilustraciones de Trajes de Baño, y en esta ocasión quise dibujar un traje de baño de la última colección Primavera/Verano 2013 de Lauren Moffatt. Para complementar el estilo vintage del atuendo agregué unos lentes de la colección Primavera/Verano 2013 de Marc by Marc Jacobs. ¡Espero que les haya gustado!


Since a while I wanted to continue with my Swimwear illustration series, and in this ocassion I drew a maillot from Lauren Moffatt Spring/Summer 2013 collection. To complement the vintage style of the outfit I added this wonderful sunglasses from  Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Hope you liked it!

¡Hola a todos! Me gustaría compartir con ustedes algunos de mis accesorios favoritos, además de mostrarles unas etiquetas de regalo ilustradas que hice inspiradas en zapatos de Miu Miu. Pueden encontrarlas en Papelpintado, un emprendimiento de diseño gráfico y papelería que tenemos con una amiga diseñadora. En Papelpintado diseñamos tarjetas, partes de matrimonio, invitaciones para eventos, tarjetas de presentación, etc. Cualquier consulta no duden en contactarme.
Las pulseras que pueden observar son 100% cuero, y son diseñadas y fabricadas en Chile por la marca de diseño emergente Suivant. ¡Yo amo las mías! Estas son de color beige pero también pueden encontrar pulseras celestes, rojas, amarillas, etc., algunas con cadenas, tuercas y otros materiales novedosos.

Hello there! I would like to share with you some of my favorite accessories, besides of showing you some illustrated gift tags inspired on Miu Miu shoes. You can find them on Papelpintado, an entrepreneurship of graphic design and stationary that I have with a designer friend. On Papelpintado we design cards, wedding invitations and for any kind of event, presentation cards, etc. If you have inquiries don't hesitate in writing me.
The bracelets you can see are 100% leather, and they are designed and manufactured in Chile by the emerging design brand Suivant. I love mine! Pictured ones are beige but you can also find blue, red, yellow ones, etc., some with chains, nuts and other original materials.

Esta guapa modelo con cejas muy marcadas se llama Cara Delevingne, tiene 20 años y es británica. Este retrato lo hice a partir de una fotografía que encontré en internet, y la escogí porque me encantó la expresión de su mirada.


This beautiful model with sharp eyebrows is called Cara Delevingne, she is 20 and she's British. I made this portrait from a picture I found on the internet, and I chose it because I loved the look in her eyes.

"Lolita" es una ilustración inspirada en una fotografía de moda tomada a la modelo rusa Vlada Roslyakova, que me encantó por el estilo gothic lolita-grunge de la imagen. He buscado por internet la sesión de fotos a la cuál pertenece esta imagen, pero no he podido dar con ella. ¿Alguien tiene alguna pista?

"Lolita" is an illustration inspired on a fashion picture taken to russian model Vlada Roslyakova, which I loved for its gothic lolita-grunge style. I've searched on internet the photo-shoot to which this picture might belong but I haven't found it yet. Does anyone have any clue where I can find it?

Me siento enormemente honrada ya que el Estudio de Mary Katratzou escogió la ilustración que hice para el Concurso de Ilustración de moda como una de sus TOP 12. Haber conseguido esta distinción ya es un gran logro, y estoy demasiado contenta por que muchos fans han podido conocer mi trabajo a través de este medio.

Esta ilustración está inspirada en un vestido de Mary Katrantzou de la colección Otoño/Invierno 2012, y la hice para presentarla a un concurso de ilustración de moda que se está organizando en el Facebook de la marca. Para los interesados, el concurso estará abierto hasta el 20 de Agosto y deberán enviar su ilustración a studio@marykatrantzou.com.
Me encanta el trabajo de Mary Katrantzou, especialmente la creatividad de los estampados, donde se pueden observar patrones que incluyen desde teclados de teléfonos antiguos hasta cintas de regalo. Los colores son vivos y con mucho contraste, y la forma de los vestidos es muy moderna, con siluetas geométricas.
Debo decir que me llama mucho la atención cada vez que veo a algún famoso usando un vestido de Mary Katrantzou, ya que por su forma y estampados se salen totalmente de contexto. Pero justamente es eso lo que me encanta, que rompe los esquemas y las reglas de cómo uno debería estar vestido. Ponerse un diseño de Katrantzou se convierte en toda una aventura, es como transformarse y así transportarse a otra realidad.


This illustration is inspired on a Fall/Winter 2012 collection dress of Mary Katrantzou, and I made it for a fashion illustration contest that's currently running on the brand's Facebook page. Interested ones can send their art till August 20th to studio@marykatrantzou.com.
I love Mary Katrantzou's work, specially the creativity of the pattern's design, where you can observe motifs that range from old phone keyboards to gift wrap ribbons. Colors are vivid and contrasting, and the silhouette of the dresses is very modern and geometric.
I must say that I'm very impressed every time I see a celebrity wearing a Mary Katrantzou dress, that because of their shape and patterns they really pop out of context. But that is exactly what amuses me, the fact that her work breaks the mold of how someone is expected to be dressed. Wearing one of her dresses becomes an adventure, is like transforming yourself and in this way being transported to another reality.

Eyes on Fire

Esta ilustración de Nastya Kusakina está inspirada en una fotografía de la revista Nuyou Singapore (Noviembre 2011), y al parecer el vestido es de Fendi (no alcanzo a leer con claridad la descripción de la fotografía, creo que está en japonés). 
En esta ilustración quise realzar los tonos ocres que predominaban en el vestido y en la atmósfera de la fotografía, para lo cual utilicé mi nueva acuarela Ecoline Yellow Ochre. ¡Espero que les guste!


This Nastya Kusakina's illustration is inspired by a picture of Nuyou Singapore magazine (November 2011), and apparently the dress is Fendi (I can't clearly read the description of the pic, I think is in japanese).
In this illustration I wanted to highlith the ochre tones that predominated on the dress and the pic's atmosphere, for which I used my new Yellow Ochre watercolor by Ecoline. Hope you like it!

Este es un retrato de la hermosa modelo rusa Nastya Kusakina, maquillada y vestida para el desfile Otoño/Invierno 2012-2013 de Cacharel. Lo que más me impresiona de su rostro son sus inmensos ojos verdes, los cuales quise destacar en esta ilustración.


This is a portrait of gorgeous russian model Nastya Kusakina, dressed up for Cacharel's Fall/Winter 2012-2013 fashion show. What impresses me the most about her face are her giant green eyes, which I wanted to highlight in this illustration.

Reviste La Calle 3

Hola a todos, ¿cómo están? Espero que estén disfrutando las últimas horas de este primer domingo de Junio. Para entretenerlos en esta relajada tarde de domingo quisiera compartir con ustedes una ilustración que realicé para la sección de Datos de la revista de moda y tendencias Reviste La Calle, publicada por el sitio web Viste La Calle. También diseñé el layout de las páginas, utilizando una tipografía rellena con glitter dorado (¡me encanta todo lo brillante!). Las ilustraciones están pintadas con acuarela y tienen algunos detalles con glitter dorado que colorié de manera digital. El encaje de las panties de la modelo de la izquierda lo realicé con un pincel de flores en Photoshop.
La tenida de la derecha corresponde a la colección Otoño/Inviverno 2012-2013 de Jill Stuart, y la de la izquierda fue diseñada por mi, a excepción de los zapatos que son Aldo (los pueden encontrar en Asos.com).


Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you are enjoying the last hours of this first June's Sunday. To amuse you during this relaxed Sunday afternoon I would like to share with you an illustration I made for the Tips section of Reviste La Calle magazine of fashion and trends, published by Viste La Calle. I also made the layout of the pages, using a typography filled with golden glitter (I love shinny stuff!). Illustrations are colored with watercolors and have some details in golden glitter. I made the lace tights of the left model with a flower Photoshop Brush.
The outfit on the right belongs to the Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection by Jill Stuart, and the left one was designed by me, with the exception of the shoes which are Aldo (you can find them in Asos.com).
