Hong Kong Garden II

Esta es la segunda versión que hice de la ilustración Hong Kong Garden. En realidad, esta fue el primer dibujo que hice, pero como no me satisfizo completamente el resultado, decidí hacerlo por segunda vez. Al final, con la edición digital, terminaron gustándome las dos versiones. ¿A ustedes cuál les gusta más?


This is the second version I do of my Hong Kong Garden illustration. Actually, this was the first drawing I made, but because I wasn't completely satisfied with the result I decided to do it a second time. At the end, with the digital edition, I ended up liking both versions. What about you, which one do you prefer?

Esta ilustración está inspirada en una fotografía tomada por Josh Olins para la edición de Abril 2012 de Vogue UK. Esta editorial de moda, llamada The White Album, me dejó totalmente impresionada desde el primer momento en que la vi: me fascinó el uso de los blancos y el leve contraste entre los grises y celestes. Además me encantaron de las maravillosas piezas de vestuario desplegadas, algunas minimalistas y otras más barrocas.
Decidí hacer mi propia versión de una de las fotografías de The White Album, donde la figura central de la ilustración es una modelo tipo escultura. Espero que el resultado les guste tanto como a mi.


This illustration is inspired on a photo taken by Josh Olins for April 2012 edition of Vogue UK. This fashion editorial, entitled The White Album, totally impressed me from the first time I saw it: I was fascinated by the use of white and the slight contrast between grey and light blue. I also loved the wonderful costumes, some minimalist and others more baroque.
I decided to make my own version of one of The White Album pics, where the main figure of the illustration is a model playing the role of a sculpture. I hope you like the result as much as me.
