I'm completely in love with Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2013 collection. For this collection the designers were inspired by the mosaics of Monreale, an Italian city located in Sicily.
"Dolce & Gabbana made use of the abilities of artisans of the highest level to create mosaics on shoes, dresses, jewels and bags. As the art of mosaic-making is a slow and precise one, achieved by placing single piece next to the other, at the same time tailoring is made by single stitch after single stitch."*
What impressed me the most about this collection was the details on clothes and accessories. By having a close look to the pics, I realized that some of the dresses are simply printed, while others are completely embroidered with sequins and rhinestones, imitating the mosaics.
