Before your very eyes

Gracias a mi querida amiga Belén, me enteré que el último disco de la banda the Thom York, Atoms for Peace, ya está disponible. Mientras escuchaba la canción "Before your very eyes" me inspiré para pintar esta acuarela. El pigmento color turquesa es una nueva adquisición, que por el momento me tiene ¡completamene obsesionada! Hace tiempo que estaba buscando ese exacto color, y lo pude encontrar en la marca Winsor and Newton. El único inconveniente es que era del tipo pastilla, y yo sólo trabajo con acuarelas de tubo o líquidas. A pesar de la diferencia no he tenido problemas en adaptarme a esta nueva morfología de acuarela, que por lo de más me parece un formato bastante interesante y que me gustaría explorar.


Thanks to my dear friend Belen I came to know that the last album of Thom Yorke's band, Atoms for Peace is finally out. While I was listening to the track "Before your very eyes" I've got inspired to paint this watercolor. The turquoise pigment is a new acquisition, that I'm totally loving! It's been a while since I've been looking for this exact color, and I could finally find it on Winsor and Newton. The only inconvenient is that is a pan color and I only work with tube colors. In spite of the difference I haven't had problems adapting myself to the new type of watercolor, that by the way also seems a very interesting format that I'm willing to explore.
